About Tara

Tara Cottage offers the perfect chance to enjoy Northern Ireland at your own pace, in your own way.

Nestled in a small cul-de-sac, Tara is set in a convenient location that allows you to relax in comfort whilst also having easy access to the Causeway Coast and Antrim Glens.  

Located in a quiet, safe, residential area, only the odd car car passes by when going to one of the neighbouring homes.

Lounge

Inside Tara you can relax after a day's sightseeing in our warm, comfortable lounge. Perfect to wind down after exploring the beautiful Causeway Coast  There is a 40-inch flat screen Smart TV to entertain you with a variety of programs and internet apps. The TV channels are piped into all three bedrooms and the kitchen, all of which are equipped with flat screen TVs.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

The master bedroom features a comfortable king-sized bed with an en-suite shower and toilet. The middle room has a single bed, and the twin room has two single beds. All are tastefully furnished with pine bedside tables and wardrobes.  Fresh bed clothes and towels are included  prior to your arrival.

The main bathroom can be used by the guests in the twin and single rooms. It has a walk-in shower, bath and toilet.

Kitchen

The kitchen area is large, open-plan and includes a dining table, sofa and sitting area. The bright and well-equipped kitchen provides you with all the features you would need, including a dishwasher, halogen hob and microwave oven. There is a standard fridge in the kitchen, but additional storage is afforded by the second fridge/freezer in the garage. This space is great for storing extra holiday drinks and food. Just off the kitchen is the utility room, which has a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.

Outside Tara

The back garden is enclosed and features beautiful views over the open countryside. The only neighbours you will see are the herd of cows that often come to look in from the back fields. There is a lit patio area with comfortable table, chairs and  barbeque.

There are eight golf courses no more than a 15 minute drive from Tara Cottage, including world class courses such as Royal Portrush, Portstewart and Castlerock.

Many of our beaches have achieved blue flag status including the nearby Portstewart. The nearest town is Coleraine which provides a variety of local and high street shops, while Portstewart offers craft shops, art galleries, coffee houses and more.
